Irvine, CA-based E-Waste Security has announced the launch of its new mobile hard drive destruction unit for the Los Angeles market. The company claims the onsite service securely destroys computer hard drives to help companies stay compliant with state and federal laws such as GLBA and HIPAA.
“Physical destruction of hard drives and backup tapes is the most secure way to protect your
company’s confidential customer and patient HIPAA data,” says Gary Scott, Chief Operating Officer of E-Waste Security.“Our NAID certified operations offers organizations the assurance that confidential files will not be exposed to non-authorized access after destruction, helping organizations remain compliant with data privacy standards.”
E-Waste Security has policies and procedures that have been certified by the National Association of Information Destruction, which employs criminal and drug background-checked employees to collect, scan for serial numbers and destroy hard drives while you watch. E-Waste removes the hard drives for recycling and emails a Certificate of Destruction for proof of service.
